Can I change my federal tax withholding after I've been hired?

What the policy on changing the amount of money withheld from your paycheck? Are you allowed to change the amount, or do you have to do it by a certain date?

You may change your W-4 at any time you wish to. By changing your W-4 with your employer you will change the amount of taxes withheld from your paycheck. You can do this at any time. See IRS Publication 919, What's new for 2010.
