How can I find commissioned salespeople?

I've been having a dickens of a time finding sales people who (especially in this economy) want to work on a commission only basis.

Now the people I'm looking for would already have a following and the ability to sell to C-level individuals, so their commission would start rather quickly after joining the firm.

Last item, the commission being paid is very healthy (above the norm to compensate for no-draw). They also have the ability to sell any non-competing service/product that wish.

Any ideas on how to find these people?

I would start by asking you a question?

Why would a proven successful salesperson want to take this job?

The person you want already has a job and is making good money.

A public THANK YOU.

Mel took the time to call me and spend some time on the phone honing in on my query and giving me some insight into my question. While his words of wisdom were geared to what we talked about, the questions he poses above were the basis of his insight.

Again, publicly (I've done this privately) thank you for your time.

There are many successful people out of and under employed. It's a wide opene
market with unlimited upside potential - and it is selling a real service not a multi-level marketing 'scam'

People are looking for a job they can sink their teeth into. Give them something up front if you like them. Two to four weeks of base salary, gas stipend, training pay or product trials get attention. Otherwise 100% commission sounds like another MLM. I have been to meetings with plenty of sales people, only to watch them fall away disappointed in a few weeks.
