Interested in good content management systems for MSFT docs. Google docs is nice, but the system needs to support native .pptx, .docx, etc. Suggestions?

I'm not entirely sure what you are asking. Do you mean a document management system? What are you trying to accomplish?
Prematurely, I can try to answer your question and say that SharePoint is a good option for document management. Whether you use Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) which comes with your Windows Server or you purchase Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS), both would allow you to manage all of your documents and access them from the web.
There is an on-line solution avaialble from MS. BPOS - Business Productivity On-line Suite. This relieves you of having to have a server infrastructure for e-mail and storage.
If you are planning to have this installed on your own server, I would just like to add a couple of lines to Keith's reply.
SharePoint Foundation 2010 was recently released (runs only on Windows 2008 servers), and besides a redesigned Central Administration contains a lot of new powerful features such as new authentication model, business connectivity services and of course SharePoint Designer has been highly improved.
This would be a pretty good solution for Document Management and SharePoint is very well integrated with the Microsoft Office Products..
Sharepoint, hands down.
Some BPOS plans include Sharepoint - alas, not 2010 as of yet...
