Help, I sit in a cubicle! What do I do?
What are some things I could do to spice up cubicle/office life. What do you recommend to keep the blood flowing, to stay engaged or to make things more interesting, all while remaining productive?

....as much as you can and as little of the same thing as possible. Fact is, the human body is an efficient machine - one not made to be sitting down all day. In order to conserve resources, it will shut down parts not being used; essentially the back, hamstrings, butt, and so forth will do less, therefore becoming weak, forcing other areas to over-compensate.
While things like exercise balls and standing desks are gaining in popularity, the simple answer is that no one position for 10 hours is good for your body.
Many online resources will suggest getting up every 15 minutes, taking the eyes off the computing screen, going for walks, and even doing 'desk stretches' (though you may find yourself the butt of many office jokes). There is no right answer - but do the most you can given your constraints and schedule.

While many opt for an exercise ball, I have personally looked into and considered investing in a treadmill desk (http://www.treadmill-desk.com/) . Not only will people avoid the shutting down of body parts, as mentioned in Tom's post above, but it will also keep people focused and energized throughout the day.
Aside from the increase in productivity and overall attitude, the treadmill desk alleviates the burden of making time for the gym or daily exercise (assuming this is still the most popular new year's resolution).
While it may not be the best solution for everyone, the treadmill desk provides a fun and healthy alternative to the options mentioned above.
An new trend in many offices is getting out of the office chair. Both sitting on an exercise ball or even the standing work station are good ways to help change the monotonous sitting in a chair feeling. Exercise balls engage your core and keeps your body moving. The standing work station might be too much for some, but having the ability to stand for a portion of the day could help.
While your desk may become dubbed "Times Square" by jealous colleagues, you might want to consider decorating your cubicle with photos of your friends, family, or adventures. I personally cherish my autographed photo of Brian Wilson... gazing at his beard makes the day go by faster.
