How can hosting a virtual event help my business?
I run a small office and we've been using YouTube as a channel for providing content to our users. Lately, the topic of hosting a virtual event has come up. Do you think this could help my business? How would prepping for a virtual event differ from a webinar/YouTube video?

James - a virtual event could certainly help your business. Virtual events can provide valuable information to your users and give them new ways to experience your content. Planning a virtual event will be similar to planning a webinar or YouTube video - you need to define your objectives, determine which technologies/tools to use, formulate your content, etc.
Planning a virtual event is similar to planning a physical event - so, there will be more involved than a single webinar. In fact, most virtual events often feature one or more webinars as the primary content (e.g. sessions).
What I recommend doing is searching for related virtual events in your industry and attending them to get the feel (from an end user).
It's one of those things that can boost credabilty.
