How can I track leads generated at trade shows and events?

What are some good ways for tracking leads that we generate from trade shows and other events?

I would say the best way to track leads from tradeshows, or any event for that matter, is to track them per campaign in a CRM software.

What I would do is take the leads you collected (for a tradeshow this may be a stack of 25 business cards or maybe a spreadsheet of attendees at the event), import the leads into a specific campaign you have created in your CRM, and start tracking the activity around these leads as they progress through your pipeline.

Having all of the data in a single campaign source presents a simple way to report on the ROI of the event and how these leads are performing.
