THere are several items in Unified Messaging that will help mobility.

Find-me Follow-me is a feature that allows a user on a telephone system forward their calls to other locations - mobile phone, home phone, etc. Many are configurable by time of day, day of week, or by number of rings, even by calling party in some cases.

Forwarding of voicemails to email allows one to listen to voicemails directly from a PDA on their mobile phone, without having to access the office system.

Using Presence, it is possible to have call status information on co-workers via chat clients, from remote locations, allowing an out of office worker to see who is available at their desk, on the phone or now, quick chatting and use of the chat program to create conference calls, telephone calls, or listen to voicemail, etc. from remote locations.

These are just some of the examples of features that increase mobility for workers, who would otherwise be tethered to their desk.
