Bin Ladens Dead?
I first heard it when I turned on the TV Sunday evening and saw the breaking news story on NBC. I then went on Facebook and saw all the feeds with what my Facebook Network was saying. Lastly, I went to Twitter to read the different articles, pictures, and posts that were being tweeting from my favorite tweeters!
TV - was watching the Celebrity Apprentice and the news cut in.
My sequence was iGoogle, Facebook, and then TV. I tried to follow Tweets but it was a total overload. They were flying by.
Much to my amusement, when I watched my DVR'd version of Celebrity Apprentice, I discovered the network had cut away right at the climax boardroom scene. I remember thinking "Mr. Trump, welcome to a view of the power of the POTUS".
Twitter. It's amazing isn't it? It hit my Blackberry THEN I turned on the TV. I learned about this event in the following order:
1. Twitter
2. TV
3. Google
Twitter. It's amazing isn't it? It hit my phone THEN I turned on the TV
Phone, but it was my brother and best friend who texted me. So Text
TV, sorry, not that exciting.
1. Text from my mom "Osama Bin Laden is dead"
2. Facebook via status updates such as "ding dong the witch is dead"
3. TV
1. Chatroom with my buddies, someone brought it up
2. Yahoo Frontpage
I got a mass text from one of my friends. It really is amazing how fast information travels these days.
I walked into a sports bar and it was playing on most of the TVs.
It's funny I caught it on tv but used google on my cell to confirm
I had been out celebrating my birthday all day, and first heard from a friend in person (who I assume found out via some feature on their smartphone). Then I got a Facebook message from a friend in New York wishing a "Happy Birthday", and saying he would never forget my bday because of this event happening the same day. After this I went to Drudgereport.com on my Blackberry to confirm. This all happened over a time span of about 20 minutes. Ain't technology grand!
On my iPad when I got notifications simultaneously from my CNN and AP news apps. Then I turned on TV news and went to my Twitter stream.
I looked at my phone and had 3 texts so then i turned on the TV and learned more about it that way.
I saw it on Facebook first. People posted there were "rumors" of his death, and over the course of a few minutes, they turned from rumor to fact. Seeing it on FB made me turn on my TV to get more details.

I first received a text message from a friend and then immediately turned the TV away from the baseball game to CNN. I stayed there long enough to get the news and then changed it back to baseball....I then sent a text to a buddy, which was the first he heard of it.
Sodahead.com
TV news. I was watching Treme on HBO, switched to watch the 11pm news when it was over, and saw the network special news broadcast.
I learned from Facebook posts and then turned on the news.
