How do I know if my company needs contact manager software?

What are some of the signs that my company is ready for contact manager software? What signals or issues should I be aware of?

How many people are we talking about?

Do the salespeople have ready access to all of the important sales prospect info (emails, phones, prior conversation/correspondence, etc.)?

If you are using nothing, than yes, you absolutely need something. It does not have to be anything fancy, but get something going.

Don't forget, your competition already has it, and your customers can tell.

Hello Paul,

When there is a number of duplication in your company, that's the sign that you need contact manager software. It could be worst if two sales staff have the same contact and approach the contact.

In our CRM, users can have their own contact and company information is stored in centralized folder that all users can access. Users can share information such as contact as well.

In addition to contact manager, you should look at calendar manager too. Users can set schedule such as "touch base with customer A every month on the first working day of the month".

Our CRM has all of these and sales management as well. We have Free Edition for 2 users/company with 100MB for each users and there is no time limit.

If you have customers and prospects, you need a CRM. Too often, business owners view CRM solutions as a bonus or ancillary system. I believe that CRM is as fundamental a technology to your business as a phone system or payroll service. Customers are the most important part of your business; your investment in technology should reflect this.
