93% of communication is non-verbal. Video can be a game changer. More to share in 20 min...

All comes down to cost and effecitveness. Outside sales reps are way more effective than telesales reps, but also exorbitantly costly. In the past, inside sales reps have saved a lot of money, but haven't been as effective. Now virtual video meetings make it possible to combine effectiveness and cost-consciousness.

it has to be better, its quicker more focused and you really have to know your stuff, hence my writings on the subject. Of course, if the buyer is not into video you have a problem, but most are switching onto it, as it gives them time to prepare and do their research just as you will have to before a video meeting. good luck.

I heard yesterday on a Focus Roundtable that 97% of all new computers today have a webcam, so it seems that roadblock is fast disappearing.

Think of it this way: When I'm on business trips, my kids are ecstatic when I FaceTime them and I hear about every detail of their day. When I'm just on the phone, they just want to say hi so that they can quickly say bye and get back to their video games or cartoons.

Audio and video is much more engaging than just audio.

Awesome analogy, Craig. 55% of public learns best through visuals, and 30% through audio... so with video you get 85% of the public. What technology do you use if you need to speak to more than just one party (eg when FaceTime doesn't work)?

Video meeting are still new to the general marketplace. However, my experience points to the effect of being able to develop those key business relationships faster utilizing video, rather than just having a phone conversation.
