What factors come in to play when you're choosing your testing sample in B2B markets? Obviously you want target customers, but what else do you consider?

It depends on what you're trying to research. Can you provide more information about your question.

You mention target "customers" rather than prospects. Does this mean you're trying to test the desirability of new functionality? If so, you may want to examine your CRM or any past behavioral data you have, to see who would find it of the most interest--and focus first on them.
