Two thoughts sources of insight I might add.
1. Made to Stick. The Heath brothers wrote a pretty good book on getting ideas to stick in peoples brains. They used urban myths as their model to unpack for reuseable components to get ideas viral or sticky. Their model to test a concept for stickiness includes several parts: simple, unexpected, concrete, credible, emotional, story (SUCCES). Stories (case studies) that can be worked actively in groups, that bear the mark of emotional content, can create the conditions for the concepts to imprint.

2. Autonomy / Mastery / Purpose: Dan Pinks research into employee motivation in DRIVE, focuses on three elements: Autonomy, Mastery, Purpose. Connecting skills learned in training to how:
1. Will this allow me greater control over my own destiny
2. Will this improve my mastery over features of my business that are important to me
3. Does this connect to a purpose larger than myself in alignment with the greater good of the company.

Hope that helps!
