1. Define conversion(s)

2. Set up conversion tracking scripts or methodology. This may be the Adwords or Adcenter conversion tracking scripts for Paid Search. It may be adding dynamic variables and watching what leads to goals in your backend. It may be tracked in your analytics. Up to you.

3. Mate conversion to revenue. Not all conversions are equal.

4. Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

Yes, what is defined as conversion to you? Converting to traffic or a sale?

Google analytics helps by setting Goals that will track conversion. But you have to define internally first, what are you converting from and to where? Keywords in PPC to drive traffic to your site, that funnel to a sale?
