How do you incorporate the DNC (Do Not Call) list into an auto dialer?

Our company is looking at purchasing an auto dialer system to help our small sales team hit higher targets. How is the do not call list integrated into such a system? Also, if people directly give us their phone number, but are on the DNC, are we still liable?

Tom,

DNC lists are normally uploaded to the dialler via something as simple as a .csv file. The dialler then cross references the data for you before it starts the campaign.

The legals are different in each country, but in the UK, my understanding is that if a customer has given you their telephone number by way of a contract, web enquiry, documented telephone enquiry etc. and you have a note on your website to say that you may call these people, but they can opt out, then you should be okay.

Our company provides an auto dialer system with DNC List support, its very simple to manage so you can just upload a cvs file with the contacts you dont want to call and the dialer will not contact these numbers.
