Well, this isn't an area where Dr. Natalie and I have gotten too involved in. However, as a rule of thumb, the way I'd approach it is this...

1. Determine the ROI at present - Your "what is" case.
2. Set goals for new ROI based - Your "could be" case. Changes to ROI could be effected by activities like the implementation of planned social programs or based on planned process improvements. Decide timeframe to meet ROI goal (For example, 2 quarters in the future).
3. At goal mark, remeasure ROI.
4. Reward accordingly, per KPIs.
