OTHER Q&A CAPABILITIES
1. Voting - You can vote on specific answers. Focus supports both up and down voting. The number displayed next to an answer represents the aggregate score for that answer. Voting is a great way to reward good answers and punish bad ones. It also provides a useful signal to the rest of the Focus community when they are looking for high quality answers.
2. Sorting - You can sort answers in three different ways: oldest, newest, and by rating. The current default sort is oldest, but manypeople find rating to be the most powerful.
3. Following - When you ask or answer a question, you are automatically following it and will receive email notifications when someone answers the question. You can also choose to follow a question by clicking on the green follow button even if you did not ask or answer the question.
4. Sharing - Similar to the follow feature, even if you have not asked or answered the particular question, you can choose to share it on most of the popular social networks and social media outlets.

Focus Q&A helps professionals get answers to specific business and technology questions. Q&A allows people to ask very specific questions and receive multiple answers from some of the world's leading experts. Here's how it works:
ASKING A QUESTION
1. The most important part of Focus Q&A is to ask questions that are valuable to both the person asking the question and/or others who may read the question and associated answers later. While you can also ask interesting questions that are driven by nothing but curiosity, the essence of Focus Q&A is to ask questions that will create value for a business.
2. There are two different fields available when asking a question. Enter your question in the first field, conveniently titled "Question". In an effort to make questions easy to read and parse, we impose a hundred character limit on this field. Try to be concise and specific. The second field, titled "Details" allows for greater detail. You can and should be expansive here and reference the specifics of your question. Details might include industry, company size, specific requirements you have, what type of answer you are looking for and so on. You can see how this works here: http://www.focus.com/questions/ask-a-question/
3. Focus Q&A uses tags to categorize your question to ensure that it's easy to find and can be routed to Experts. Make sure you tag your question with terms that describe the basic topics associated with the question. Good tag sets often include relevant functional areas (e.g. sales, marketing, HR, IT...), industries (e.g. retail, health care...), topics (e.g. presentation skills, training...), and specific objects (e.g. a company's name, product name...).
4. Press the submit button. If you are not already a member of Focus, become one. You have to be a member to ask a question.
5. Upon submission, you will have the opportunity to distribute your question to your social networks such as LinkedIn and Twitter. It's a great way to make sure that a question receives a greater number of high quality answers.
6. Focus also distributes questions to relevant Focus Experts and other members who can best answer the question.
7. When someone answers your question, Focus will notify you that someone has provided an answer. This notification is sent via email and includes a link to the answer.
ANSWERING A QUESTION
1. The mechanics of answering a question on Focus are straightforward and outlined below. The hard part is providing a valuable answer. There are a few simple rules to follow here. First, make sure that you answer the question being asked. Second, try to help the person asking the question by providing facts and solutions relevant to the issue at hand. Third, be as specific as possible. Finally, and this is important, try to answer the question correctly! You can see more on answering questions on Focus here: http://www.focus.com/questions/other/what-constitutes-good-answer-focus/
2. When you find a question to answer, enter your answer into the field that asks you to answer the question. Press the "post your answer" button.
3. Once you've answered a question, you will be asked if you want to distribute that answer to places like Twitter. It's a great way to promote your expertise and also solicit other answers from people who may also be able to answer the question.
4. While Focus Experts provide the vast majority of answers on Focus, anyone can answer a question as long as they are a Focus member.
