How does Zoho work for email marketing automation?
I have a friend that uses Zoho as her CRM system and constantly raves about the company. I need to find an email marketing automation solution, and am strongly considering their product. Does anyone have experience with using their software? Are there other email marketing automation systems that I should also consider?

ZoHo does not have a direct marketing automation solution which plugs into the software. Both SugarCRM (Which has a Free Version) and other CRM's have marketing automation abilities with 3rd party applications such as Pardot, Eloqua, and Genius. I am biased because I work with Pardot. We do not have a direct integration with ZoHo but have an open API which allows you to plug into ZoHo if you would like. This will allow you to have full email automation for email lead nurturing, segmentation, list management, opt out management, bounce management, and allow you to track leads interactions with email, and your online marketing. It will then pass email activity, and lead history back into ZoHo for you.

My understanding is that zoho doesn't provide what you're looking for.
