Dear Pushpa,
I've found it helpful to build relationships with prospective clients. This means going out and meeting people, getting to know what they do, assessing whether they fit your client profile and continuing to build a long-term relationships. Build your client base by creating a pool of people who understand and need your product or service rather than trying to cast too wide a net and using up a lot of time on people who aren't interested.
The key question might be, "Who needs my product or service and how do I meet them?"
Take care,
Guy
