Just out of curiosity, how many CRM vendors do you think actually use their own software to support sales?

Having worked at Oracle and Salesforce.com, both organizations rely on their own respective solutions.
WORKetc is well known for using their own software to manage everything they do, and they make it explicit (Dan Barnett, founder, talks about it here: http://www.worketc.com/Blogs/Development/69 )
WORKetc is active within it's community and uses it's own software to help know when things are in need of change, hence the rapid changes being made to the software all the time, it's growing fast.
WORKetc goes beyond CRM, though; it integrates project management, billing, and support tools into one app. It's a total business management system, and can be used to manage the entire lifecycle of a client from lead through to billing.
Hey Cathy,
The cheapest solution to test, debug and train stuff on your own software is to force your people to use it. I'm sure that 99% of vendors don't miss this possibility. I'd give last 1% for those who use 2 CRM's or run into temporary problems with their solution :)
Hi Cathy,
I work for a Microsoft Dynamics CRM partner (http://www.thecrmbusiness.com) and we use the latest version of Microsoft CRM ourselves to run our entire business including Sales, Marketing and Customer Service areas.
Just a guess, but I would have thought that most respectable CRM vendors would use their own product as they should be the ones who truly understand the benefits!
