How many non-retail small business owners work weekends?

Do you non-retail business owners find yourself working weekends? If so what kind of work are you doing? Is it sales oriented i.e proposals, sales letters, or is it paperwork?

What is a weekend? I always thought a working week was 7 days!

The normal 5 work days consist of working on new and existing projects. "Weekends" consist of working on some admin functions and planning for the coming week.

Weekends are a good time to do work that requires no interuptions - book keeping, product research, customer research, web site updates, etc.

Weekend work for me tends to be more relaxing, and more productive. Time to implement new ideas, or work through ideas that are not vetted yet.

I read once that Sunday evening is the best time to send emails to executives - they tend to check their email before bed so they are all caught up for Monday Morning. I like to send out emails on Sunday nights for that reason.

Taking time out to answer some Focus questions is a good example of relaxing work. Sunday is a time to organize the work for the following week.
