How much would you pay for social networking?
How much are you willing to invest monetarily on social media? Would you being willing to spend money on a professional social networking site with no outside advertisements cluttering your profile if it meant you could network with credible professionals and be marketed to non-members as a verified, credible professional?

I personally would not invest money in building another social networking site. There's way too many of them to begin with, and new ones are sprouting every day. The power of social media is the strength in numbers that communities of like-minded people can provide. The more sites get crated, the thinner the audience size. At this point I would simply invest in training as many people as possible in the company to be active participants and I would invest in a couple of dedicated soc media jockeys to live online and cover as many sites as possible...
Hi Leslie,
I agree with Nick. It doesn't make much sense to create another social networking site. There are many out there & you can easily create another using hosted or open source ones.
Marketing stand point, its better to join the crowd on LinkedIN.com or facebook.com or twitter.com etc. and make your voice heard.
Let me know if you need any help to set-up social networking site or hire people who will participate on social sites on behalf of you.
Thanks.
Just to clarify the question - it's not about building another site. It's meant more in terms of how much would you invest to be a member of an existing social networking site for professionals.
