How can I set passwords for individual users on a wifi network?

I need about 400 users to be able to use their personal passwords which they use to access other company applications for the wi-fi network. How do I do that? What do I need to do to allow the users to enable their wi-fi using their own passwords?

Jeena, while it should be possible to setup a WiFi network to also require corporate credentials via 802.11x and integrated RADIUS authentication, I would not recommend this. It's better to make the wireless network simple, but unconnected to the corporate network. (i.e. only allow internet level access from the wireless).

This will provide you with a safer configuration vs configuring the wireless directly onto the corporate network. Then, those users who connect to the WiFi network and need to access company applications must also connect the corporate VPN (using their indivudual corporate account credentials).

This will provide a secure means of gain access to the corporate network and its applications for your wireless users, and ensure that they are using their own credentials at some level.

Hi Jeena. What kind of network do you have? There are some good walkthroughs for a Windows environment here: http://bit.ly/AwEEEL
