Not in a good way, to put it mildly!

The longer the problems and uncertainty continue in the Euro Zone, the longer there will be "uncertainty" and deadly sluggishness in the U.S. — in the stock market, in business development, in consumer spending, etc. All of which leads to further sluggishness in each of the above. It's a vicious cycle.

At best, it will continue to slow down any robust economic recovery in the US. The stock market(s) will continue to sca investors to death with emotional reactions to transient developments in the Eurozone (and in fragile EU economies).

At worst, it's hard to say. if the Euro does a melt-down in 2012 or 2013, as many predict, we could quickly plunge into deep recession, with a several-year recovery period.
