How would you compare VMWare to Novell?
I currently use VMWare, but am toying with the idea of switching systems. Is anyone a user of Novell's new software, and how do they compare?

Novell's virtualization portfolio has been assembled to out-flank Red Hat's relatively new virtualization offering, RHEV. To that end, Novell has partnered with VMware to provide a comprehensive data center solution. Novell's Platespin technology dovetails well with VMware's vision of cloud computing, though VMware's own product line seems to be moving into direct competition with Platespin. Meanwhile, Novell is hedging its bets by maintaining a close relationship with Microsoft and Hyper-V.
My opinion would be to stick with VMware and augment your tools with Platespin if you are looking for better automated and dynamic control of your data center.
