HP is already big in data centers. To compete with IBM and Oracle and EMC going after high end database capability such as Autonomy is a great move. The real shocker is the news that HP is thinking of spinning out the PC business. Probably also a good a move as PCs are being commoditized and personal platforms are moving to tablets and mobile devices.
