Hurd moves from HP to Oracle: does it matter to users?

Former HP CEO Mark Hurd is becoming a co-president at Oracle, raising questions about corporate culture and executive compatibility. It's good to have friends in high places.

I think Hurd will largely be fine. It all depends on what his new responsibilities will be, and if he's just using this position as a placeholder for something more suitable in the industry.
