It's great that IBM Watson is beating up on Ken in Jeopardy but what does this mean for business?
Yes, most people thought a computer could beat a human in a question/answering game but what does this mean for companies moving forward? How is IBM Watson going to help organizations? They got great publicity - GREAT PUBLICITY- with the Jeopardy week but IBM is smart. I am sure there is a strategy behind this.

As an architect, I look at Watson from a technical perspective and I see a very intelligent search engine.
Reliable and accurate search is the Achilles’ heel of most Knowledge Management (KM), ECM, and collaboration platforms. Matching people's normal search strings with the information they actually want has been a major problem. Ironically, IBM's offerings in these areas tend to be some of the worst offenders.
While it will likely be some time before Watson makes his way into commercial offerings, I see in "him" the promise of exceptional customer self-service capabilities and pinpoint accurate search in ECM and KM platforms.
Who knows, maybe IBM will launch a search engine that overtakes Google and Bing...
I found this eweek posting very informative.
