I keep hearing people talking about easy VPN. Is it actually a product?

I can't tell whether easy VPN is actually a product or just a description?

It is a "service product". A virtual private network (VPN) is a network that uses a public telecommunication infrastructure, such as the Internet, to provide remote offices or individual users with secure access to their organization's network.. The VPN provides the security without the high cost.

To add to Iris's description.

The methodology of the Easy VPN design is that you do 99% of the configuration on the head-end (concentrator) and the remote end points (hardware or software clients) have only a call home address and authentication that needs to be configured. This means that the advanced VPN configuration is managed in only one place the head-end device(s). Changes that are made (ex. split-tunneling list) will be passed down to the clients at their next login. By utilizing groups and profiles very different deployments and security or access requirements can be configured and applied dynamically based upon the group membership of the connecting device or user.

This type of design facilitates very quick deployments as the required skill level of the remote technician is decreased, allowing even preconfigured devices to be drop shipped and powered on by office staff. TCO is lower greatly by allowing changes to be made on demand without the need to touch the remote device.

Actually, I think it might be an oxymoron...just kidding. What you are probably hearing people talk about is a Cisco VPN product called Easy VPN - http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/secursw/ps5299/
