What are your recommendations for accounting software?
I'm comparing two accounting software systems (Pro Systems and Quickbooks Enterprise) and am currently using Quickbooks Pro. Our company is small but rapidly growing and we need more analytical and forecasting capabilities; something with job costing capabilities but marketing and trend information also. I would like to have a dashboard for the owner for quick snapshots of utilizations and profits, etc. but I can't find something to offer these things at a small company price. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have never heard of Pro Systems, but I did look at Quickbooks Enterprise for a former employer, and without customization, I don't think QB Enterprise would meet your requirements.
QB Enterprise is basically QB Pro run with a real database backend (as opposed to file based backend in QB Pro). The UI and functionality is basically the same, although you do get some enhanced security features in QB enterprise. It sounds like you key requirements are basically enhanced reports and while QB Enterprise doesn't provide them out of the box, you do have access to the data via standard SQL reporting tools like Crystal Reports.
The next level up from QB Enterprise is MS Dynamics GP (Great Plains). This can be purchased for a similar prices point to Quickbooks, but requires more customization to implement. It does have a very full featured reporting engine so it may meet your reporting requirements better than QB.
If you are talking about Pro Systems (a la Sage Software) then it's pretty good and has its roots back to SBT Accounting Library from the mid-80's. It also includes the source code allowing you or your reseller to customize it to your specific needs.
