Network traffic monitoring widget?
I'm looking for a network traffic monitoring widget that I can install on my desktop and get basic stats on my network traffic at all times (e.g.: total utilization, download speeds, etc.) Is there a good tool out there that anyone would recommend?

One of the best tools and most cost effective I've used is PRTG Network monitor. You can download a freeware copy here:

You can pay extra for more sensors, I bought the unlimited license and used it to monitor a wide area network.

Good luck. Make sure you have SNMP configured on your devices before discovering them. Works like a charm.
I recommend you try LaneCat outside monitoring software. It can monitor all the network traffic in your Lan.
