Hi Linda,

In my experience networking is very important when one's goal is aquiring customers. There are so many venues inwhich one can network. Live face to face networking can be found at many Chamber of Commerce events.
I find that the direct sales industry benefits greatly by networking as this industry is entreprenurial in nature. The demographics tend to be independent distributors/associates looking for sales opportunites for commissions.
I have found that networking opportunties do not benefit large scale businesses such as banks/senior living homes/property management companies. I have experienced different networking events and they just don't seem to get much interest for whatever reason.
