On-premise payroll program?
I'm looking for an on-premise (read: software-based) payroll program to support a small business that I'm consulting for. They have had problems with Peachtree and Quickbooks in the past and are looking for something completely different. What would you suggest? They have 18 employees and are running primarily Windows OS. Thanks.

Hi Brett-
I would say look at Intuit Online Payroll On-line. You can become a reseller and add payroll to your list of services. It is a very profitable service. You should look into it. Since it is online there is no software so load and it is backed up on intuit's server which is backed up all the time.
Hope this helps you.
We use a program called Netchex. It has attendance/time management/HRIS built in and would be good fit for any size business.
It sounds like you need functionality that Peachtree nor QuickBooks can deliver. There are payroll specific software packages that can address a wide array of specific needs. These systems can also be configured to track additional employee information and employee/manager access. We would love to talk with you to understand your issues and see if we can deliver a system which eliminates the current problems. I have over 22 years of experience in in-house payroll systems.
