I definitely access Twitter and Facebook on my Blackberry, but I do not use the LinkedIn app. As important as I think this social networking website is, I don't think it is as important as Twitter or Facebook.

Dear Kristin,

The idea of LinkedIn is not to be like Facebook or Twitter, it's a professional network or a knowledge sharing network that you could publish your thoughts in a professional way to professionals...

I have the LinkedIn app on my iPhone but seldom use it. I find little need to access LinkedIn when I'm mobile, especially since I primarily use it for networking and contact management only.

Yes, from my BB. However, I find that my BB (curve) has a poor browser. Even Opera isn't any better. If I had an iPhone or similar device, I'd use mobile LinkedIn more often.

Maurene, this has nothing to do w/ the question, but I had the curve & the browser was awful. I just switched to the Torch & love it--it's still a BB, but a whole new ballgame.

Yes, but very infrequently (as compared to FB and Twitter, which have native apps for the Android)

I'm on a Motorola Droid, with OS v2.2

I'd love to use it more, if the folks at LinkedIn would bother to create a useful mobile app.

Yes and very much. I have the HTC EVO and use the Droidin app, I also book mark the site and go to the full site on occasion. As far as importance of this site, I feel it is more important than facebook and twitter. This is a true professionals site specifically for building your business contacts. It is great for building business relationships and recruiting to fill internal positions.

Im on Blackberry and the answer is "no".

Couple things:

1. Social media apps on the Blackberry are not very good.
2. I don't use Linkedin for much except to accept or deny requests and to research folks which I do from the office.

I have the app on my Blackberry Curve but never really use it. Like Craig said, I pretty much use the site to research folks, which I do from the office. It's a good contact manager also, but I don't link it to the BB contacts app because the LI app is so, well, flukey. It often tells me I have new notifications when none exist. The app misses friend/connect requests when the email notifications show up in my inbox. And it takes forever to load up. I agree that it could be useful but it needs some major work.

Yes, BB Torch 9800.

Interestingly, I have had LinkedIn loaded and removed a few times though device transitions due to low value add and at one point experiencing high CPU conditions. I loaded it again and so far it's good. Now that my Linked In email traffic is high, I am thinking of turning off the notification to email to avoid duplication, and then the mobile app will be more useful. The other piece that I am anticipating to be more useful is I am increasingly looking for adding the names of the individuals I am meeting at shows directly on linked in rather than carrying around cards, I can do it right then and there.
