Yes, and I find it very convenient. I have the app linked to the messages, contacts and calendar apps in my Blackberry Curve. I limit the email notifications FB will send me to basically wall posts and FB email/event messages so these things look (and prompt a response from me) like any other text/email in the smartphone. The contacts connection allows me to pull contact info from profile pages into my phone, and it updates the phone automatically every so often. And finally the calendar connection allows my phone to prompt me with reminders for FB events I've RSVP'd to and any birthdays my friends happen to advertise on their profiles. As others have mentioned, I will occasionally browse the feed while I'm waiting in a line or in transit around SF, but I find myself doing that less and less. The Blackberry browser is pretty minimal so you don't get the benefit of being able to see the videos or enjoy the websites that people post links to. So between all these things, I interact a couple times a day, every day. Very quickly approaching 30.

I would say the vast majority of folks that have iPhones and other smart phones interact with Facebook via their cell phones. I also use Facebook via normal browser. Middle age, old guy.

Yes. It works, but I use Facebook for basically friends. I tend to use my PC more when interacting with Facebook, but that's me.

BTW, the TweetDeck application has problems with Facebook.

Yes, but not a whole lot. Mostly I've used it to see what other people have posted or when I've been tagged in a post. I do not post from my phone on Facebook.

Yes. I find it less distracting on my mobile device.

@vee, security issues can be mitigated by keeping up with additional security features are they are released. One of my favorites is a notice of when and where logins occur and whether the login occured from an authorized computer or not.

Yes. Of course It's a context to follow what's happening with all my friends and associates, it's designed for sharing, and it lets me say what I have to say to everyone that's interested at once. Age? I'm a youthful 61.

Yes, whenever I have somthing impellent to share with friends (kind of now or never feeling), and I don't have a PC at hand. most of my fb connections through mobile phone occur when i just took a photo of something (easier to share it straight away) and I want to comment on something occuring HERE and NOW. but i would HATE to be disturbed by yet more advertising noise, even there ;-). Age: senior end of the gen Z range :D

It is handy to have fb on a mobile device. I find that the Android App does not load correctly in all instances or I might use it more. However you can load fb in a browser that seems to work just fine so the App is not critical to using it. On the other hand, being of the over 50 generation, I use mobile devices more to read than to write which I find so slow as to be time wasteful. I am mindful that younger folks can write much more quickly than I am able.

I am not a frequent user of fb, checking it once or twice a week and only posting when I have something pretty earthshaking to say (which is not that often). I do enjoy reading the newsfeeds from computer and mobile device.

I don't go on Facebook from my phone all that much because I have an older Blackberry and using the Internet on it can be slightly frustrating at times. I am looking to get a new phone within the next few months and will probably access Facebook, along with other social media sites, from it almost every day. I'm 24.
