Press/News Distribution on the Web
Has anyone (primarily in small companies) used some of the free or low-cost news distribution services out there (like PRWeb, PR.com, Webwire.com etc). Did you get results and did the service meet your expectations (and their promises?).

Since I just used PRWeb for my own company's launch press release, I can give a thumbs up to their service. The jury is still out on the volume of impressions and hits that they can yield for me, but from an overall experience standpoint they get an "A" from me. Their user interface for writing and posting the release is great and the tools/information surrounding the site are very good indeed. All the small things are also well done (ability to attach docs to be included with the release for example, so you can have images and PDFs presented well formatted along with the release). Price is a little steep ($80 for a basic web only release) compared to the many other "seemingly free" services but you definitely get a quality experience with PRWeb.
