1 Answer
Private cloud (or corporate cloud) is a computing architecture that provides cloud hosting services to a limited number of people behind a firewall. Advances in virtualization and distributed computing have allowed corporate network and data center administrators to effectively become service providers that meet the needs of their customers within the corporation. Private or internal cloud is designed to appeal to an organization that needs or wants more control over their data than they can get by using a Public cloud hosting service. If an organization is of a small or medium size, then setting up and maintaining a private cloud do not appear to be a rational option as the costs involved will be extreme. Also, highly skilled IT technicians and support staff will be needed on the premises. So, overall costs will be much higher than public cloud setup, and this higher cost is keeping small or medium size companies from considering private cloud computing.
