Registered Agent - Required or Optional?
I launched my business in 2007 under an LLC with help from LegalZoom. The past couple years I'm renewing my Registered Agent and haven't found time to ask if this is a requirement to operate my business or if have a Registered Agent is an option. Does anyone know if there is a requirement to have a Registered Agent. I'd hate to think I'm spending renewal monies there instead of on my business operations.

As it turns out the State of Arizona requires that an LLC has a Registered Agent to remain in good standing with the state.
