These days, as you know Scott, content is remarkable if it is readable, utilizes proper grammar, flows, and includes an adequate introduction, body and conclusion/ call to action. ;)
Seriously, though, the web has become glutted with self-styled 'information marketers' of all types, and most are singularly unremarkable. Long-form advertising is carefully engineered to appear informative, while carrying on for pages with no substance.
Content that appeals to me, at least, is clear, concise, transparent and genuinely informative. Anything else leaves me quoting Ronald Reagan when debating Jimmy Carter, "Here we go again."
