If you have results AND activity, you're in good shape.
If you have activity but NOT results, then you need to hone your capture and conversion techniques.
If you have results, but you're not sure how you're getting them, you need to analyze the process and find out so you can replicate them.
In the end, it's all about your goals. What are your DESIRED results? Do you want awareness, requests for information, trial (redemption of offer), referrals...?
Hi Paul, Both results and overall activity are important for me when reviewing my web analytics. I feel that there's vital information that can be gleaned from the overall activity that speaks to the results.

I look at things like:
unique visitors
time on pages
how many ezine subscribers, requests for consultations, or other emails from prospects.
which pages they spent the most time on
which pages they came in using and what keywords were used.
That is an excellent perspective, David.
