Should I purchase website security from my hosting company?
I recently bought a domain name and at checkout the hosting company was trying to push me to purchase all of these website security measures to prevent people from adding spyware and malware to my site. I run a small plumbing company, so I'm not sure how big of a risk I am for hackers. What do you think? Should I invest in this extra service?

Depending upon what the hosting provider does for all customers (what minimum level of protection is in place already) as well as how dynamic your website is (is the website developed with something that is often found to be vulnerable, has links to other sites or updated frequently). Another point to consider is will you accept credit cards on the site (PCI compliance would be needed)
Your hosting company should be willing to give you honest advice in this area.
