Should your email marketing team also be in charge of your company's Facebook efforts?
I was reading this blog post from Jay Baer where he argues that "the people in charge of Facebook and the people in charge of email marketing in your company should be the SAME PEOPLE." Do you agree with this? Why/why not?

Up to a certain point, I agree. Both Facebook and email are online channels which should be marketed to in a uniform and consistent way, even though their purposes and concepts are different. Consistency in brand experience means being remembered, and that helps into getting to be 'top of mind' in the end.
There should not be a completely different team (perhaps only if you are a 1000+ ppl co.) handling both channels: if there's a separate email marketing team within the marketing department, it should at least have a say (what is posted when?) and see (FB Insights) how it flows. A social media or community manager should have a day to day schedule update with the email marketing team to keep tabs on everything :)
