Skype Access: The price is right, but how is the quality?
Skype recently announced they are expanding their partnership program with a number of WiFi providers worldwide. Skype Access allows you to use your Skype Credit at a pay per minute rate, starting at $0.06. For those of you who have used the service, how is the quality? Have you had any bandwidth issues? Do you have any tips for using Skype Access?

I can't comment on the quality, as I don't have a need for this service. However, I've closely followed Skype from the beginning and use it regularly. All I can really say is that I wouldn't be so worried about the quality. That's really beyond Skype's control, and when you start talking about wireless telephony, this should be the least of your concerns.
We've been brainwashed to accept subpar quality with mobility, and we put up with it only because the convenience factor offers too much utility. I'm not saying that mobile telephony has to be as good as legacy landline, but it's got a long way to go. If I had a need for Skype Access, I'd happily live with moderate quality issues, especially if I can reduce/eliminate roaming and mobile LD charges. Wouldn't you?
