Is there a way to get our ERP certified by an audit firm?
We have a mid range(SMB) ERP system. We would like to know whether we can get our product certififed by any consultants(Certified auditors) in terms of meeting the industry standards(functional), security, database design etc.,

Yes. There are all sorts of consultancies supporting validation of compliance - it depends on what industry your are in and what you are trying to certify or validate.
For example, if you are industry bound to the FDA (pharma) you might need to "validate" your system, which should be supported in part by the application vendor. If you are ISO 9000 your certifying consultancy should guide you to "systems" audit points, which prove process capability.
If you don't know the "rules of engagement" for the use of systems in your industry (ERP or otherwise), you might ask your application vendor for references to other similar customers. Also, I would ask the vendor for the references to audit services they used to substantiate their compliance certification claims, assuming they made those claims.
If you are providing any sort of hosted solution and sell to publicly traded companies in the US, you should look into getting a SAS 70, Type II certificate.
This is a certification, typically done by a public auditor, that will assert that your processes meet the applicable SOX standards - specifically section 104 of the law. If you have this certificate, companies that are required to be SOX compliant can use your product without any further thought.
