Google enters the Marketing Automation space to strengthen it's SME/SMB mid-market offering, integrating it's analytics capability plus data on 'everything' to add an execution capability that is much smarter than gmail. Now, that would be awesome :)
Pardot, Manitcore and Loopfuse are all acquired by companies like Marketo, Eloqua and Act-On.
