Jim,
I'm game!
Project Management - everyone should be able to effectively manage time, money, risk, communications and people resources.
Demand Management - knowing how/being able to prioritize opportunities for investments, compliance and other projects, most likely using a project portfolio management methodology, will keep the business moving in the best direction.
Audit/Risk - making sure risk/audit exposures are understood, communicated and mitigated/re-mediated will save much "pain" for you and the company.
I'm looking forward to the results.
Thanks!
Mike
Being successful in the global market has little to do with certifications and much to do with character traits such a initiative, honesty, politeness, team work, common sense, etc.
Besides, certifications need to be relevant to a position's core skills and that will vary too much to allow anyone to define a "global top 3 certifications".
Thanks!
Mike
Great points, Mike. For the sake of this question, allow that the certifications indicate actual, verifiable capabilities. There are a host of certs out there to choose from.
I disagree that there is too much variation between skill sets (thus invalidation of the question). Certain skill sets transcend functional specialties and are applicable across enterprises and industries (e.g. Project Management, Lean Six Sigma, and Change Management to name a few).
I'll be interested to see which selections rise to the top.
Jim
