Upgrade sales force automation software?

Our company wants to upgrade our sales force automation software into a full CRM package. We’re currently using RightNow CX… is there an easy upgrade? We’re essentially looking for more CRM-related features and possible integration with our accounting/quoting system.

Though this approach may be somewhat backwards, you may want to see what CRM package works well with your accounting/quoting system. The reason I say that is that integrating between a CRM and accounting system can get very tricky - despite what some people may have you believe. Does the integration you envision entail transferring things like payment history, account info, etc? If that is the case, I would check if there is something that integrates with your accounting package, and evaluate that CRM package. That could save you a lot of headaches down the road when you go to integrate between CRM and accounting.

Hi Tom,

We have upgraded a number of customers from systems including RightNow, MS CRM and Vantive to EnterpriseWizard. It is a fairly easy upgrade because EW allows creation of custom tables, relationships and business rules to match those from RightNow.

To be exact: The entire upgrade, including the import of your existing data and reproduction of custom business rules would take around 4 elapsed weeks / 8 man weeks on a fixed price basis. So it is all well understood and just a matter of handle turning, but it is never entirely trivial to replace an enterprise system.

As for integration with your accounting/quoting system, that depends upon what you are currently using. For example, we have pre-built integration with QuickBooks enterprise edition, but not with SAP. Give us a call at 650 587 8615 ext 1 and we can advise you on what it would take.
