I want to compare ACD systems.

I run a call center and we’re looking to implement an ACD system (automatic call distribution). What vendors lead the market, and what vendors do you recommend. We have a 40 person call center.

I always recommend Avaya. Mitel is another system I have used.

Look up an independent telecom company that deals with Phone system installs. They can give a lot of recommendations and information so you can make some good decisions.

For a call center that small, and if you are not planning to create a Virtual Call Center by linking other offices together, I like Aspect. There VoIP solution is not as strong as Avaya, but I think they'd be more cost effective and easier to manage. Mr. Arvidson gave the best advise, look for an independent reseller that offers multiple platforms that you can choose from. You will probably get a better deal that way. Just watch for hidden maintenance contracts.
