Steven Covey 7 Habits author says it our job to create an emotional bank account. We make deposits by truly listening and then following through on our promises. By making deposits, we have a reserve to draw upon when the problems occur. One more thing on listening, God gave us one month and 2 ears for a reason.

Hi Ivana. Well, without oversimplifying the answer, it is best described as relational elegance through thoughtful simplicity. The greatest coaches of the world teach the fundamentals over and over and over, which to many, if not most, are always overlooked: establishing trust, developing rapport, listening listening listening, providing value to the other party, follow-up AND follow-through, and keeping your promises goes a long way towards constructing a sustainable relationship. Relationship dynamics, as varied and complicated as they can be, still all point back to these essentials.
