Hi Caty,
It's been a while since you posed this question, but I actually think you're looking at the problem backwards. The answer to your question is "all of them" because you want ideas from as many places as possible, but the key is hosting all the details about what you're trying to accomplish in one place that can be easily shared on an interested person's social media platform of choice.
Rather than focusing (wink) on Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn, dedicate yourself to building a central place where anybody can learn about your objectives, contribute to the cause and share the mission with even more people in their network. My company happens to do this for organizations at www.ChallengePost.com, but you can also create your own platform and manage the process in-house.
