Assuming that you know everything... yes, you are hired for your expertise but being new to a company means you have a lot to learn, especially about the culture and operations of your new organization. Not taking time to learn, listen and build relationships in those first 90-days would be a big mistake!

Andria is right on the money. Listen far more than you talk and don't assume that you know what's going on. Ask open ended questions and learn all that you can about how things work in your new situation.
